We are excited to announce the start of the application period for the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) on Artistic Itineraries between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. Visual Dialogue: Ancient and Medieval Heritage versus Contemporary Creation, hosted by our partner university, Ovidius University of Constanța, Romania. 

A Blended Intensive Programme is a short-term physical mobility with an online part (virtual component).

The BIP will take place between 4th of May and 8th of May 2026 in Ovidius University of Constanța, Romania. There will be a mandatory virtual part too. 

Requirements:

To be a student at Shumen University (undergraduate,  graduate, and PhD students).

English Language: Level B1

What do you get?

Erasmus grant: 79 euros per day (example: 5 days physical mobility + travel support about 200 euros)

ECTS credits: 3

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Observe and artistically document historical and cultural heritage sites in Dobrogea through direct, in situ study.
  • Use rapid drawing and color techniques to capture atmosphere, light, and spatial character.
  • Develop finished compositions by synthesizing field sketches in the workshop environment.
  • Integrate heritage references into contemporary artistic practice.
  • Collaborate across cultures, exchanging artistic methods and perspectives in an international context.
