Open Application for BIP- Hard Sciences: exploration of special topics in Physics, Mathematics, and Computing

We are excited to announce the start of the application period for the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) on Hard Sciences: exploration of special topics in Physics, Mathematics, and Computing, hosted by our partner university, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Romania.

A Blended Intensive Programme is a short-term physical mobility with an online part (virtual component).

More detailed information about the BIP-HERE

The BIP will take place between 13-19 July 2026 at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi, Romania. There will be a mandatory virtual component too.

To be a student at Shumen University (undergraduate,  graduate, and PhD students).

English Language: Level B1

What do you get?

Erasmus grant: 79 euros per day (example: 5-7 days physical mobility + travel support about 200 euros)

ECTS credits: 4

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a solid understanding of numerical simulations in physics, plasma physics, and chaos theory.
  • Gain hands-on experience in high-energy particle physics, diatomic molecular spectra, and machine learning.
  • Explore mathematical models in life sciences, cryptography, and artificial intelligence in games.
  • Learn about microstructure–function relationships in materials, probability theory, and scientific communication.
