Open Application for BIP – Resilience Beyond Borders: Human Rights in a Challenging World- extended application period

We are excited to announce the extension of the application period for the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) on Resilience Beyond Borders: Human Rights in a Challenging World, hosted by our partner university, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza”, Iasi, Romania. 

A Blended Intensive Programme is a short-term physical mobility with an online part (virtual component).

The BIP will take place between 2nd of March and 6th of March 2026 in “Alexandru Ioan Cuza University”, Iasi, Romania. There will be a mandatory virtual part too. 

Requirements:

To be a student at Shumen University (undergraduate,  graduate, and PhD students).

English Language: Level B1

What do you get?

Erasmus grant: 79 euros per day (example: 5 days physical mobility + travel support about 200 euros)

ECTS credits: 3

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of international human rights frameworks, challenges, and evolving global dynamics.
  • Explore the interconnections between resilience, justice, and human dignity in the face of global crises.
  • Develop skills in human rights advocacy, communication, and policy engagement.
  • Understand the psychological aspects of resilience and recovery from oppression, discrimination, or violence.
  • Evaluate ethical challenges in human rights work, such as cultural diversity, data privacy, and political bias.
  • Recognize the role of technology and media in advancing or undermining human rights protection.
  • Apply self-care, ethical reflection, and professional resilience strategies in high-stress human rights environments.
