Open Application for BIP – Tourism, Cultural Heritage, Storytelling, and the Art of Tour Guiding
We are excited to announce the start of the application period for the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) on Tourism, Cultural Heritage, Storytelling, and the Art of Tour Guiding, hosted by our partner university, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Romania.
A Blended Intensive Programme is a short-term physical mobility with an online part (virtual component).

The BIP will take place between 13-19 July 2026 at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi, Romania. There will be a mandatory virtual component too.
Requirements:
To be a student at Shumen University (undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students).
English Language: Level B1
What do you get?
Erasmus grant: 79 euros per day (example: 5-7 days physical mobility + travel support about 200 euros)
ECTS credits: 4
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
- Develop a deep understanding of tourism and tour guiding through practical and theoretical insights.
- Explore tourism in EU peripheral areas, Dracula tourism policies, and the capitalization of communist heritage.
- Gain hands-on experience in stone identification, weather forecasting for tour guides, and storytelling techniques.
- Enhance guiding skills through walking tour techniques, body language training, and commentary structuring while experiencing cultural and ecological tourism in Iași.
